27/01/2026 - Light to Night
This week the Scouts and Explorers visited Singapore's Light to Night Event where they looked at the different light exhibits around the Padang. While there the scouts discussed this years fundraising initiatives and scouts came up with ideas for how their Patrol could contribute.
Congratulations to two of 1st Singapore Scouts who have achieved their Gold Scout Awards! What a fantastic achievement. Well done Jehan and Aayush!
A much deserved congratulations to Daisy who has achieved her chief scout Platinum award. Daisy has dedicated her time to the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award before joining 1st Singapore to complete the Award. Well done!!!!
12/12/2025 - Jambowlree
December saw our annual Jambowlree event, a worldwide event bowling championship where scouts across the world compete to be the best team! 1st Singapore Scouts and Explorers joined with 2nd Singapore cubs for 4h of bowling.
09/11/2025 - Rememberance Service at Kranji Memorial
Two scouts from 1st Singapore represented British Scouting Overseas at the Kranji Memorial Remembrance service, laying a wreath during the service.
08/11/2025 - Bonfire Night
Time for our annual Bonfire Night Camp! Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from 1st and 2nd Singapore joined together for a Days games and fun at Camp Sarimbun! Plenty of waterfights, team games before BBQ and smores around the campfire. This years guys included Mr 6-7 and some K-pop demon hunters.
07/11/2025 - Scouts Gold Award Expedition
Our oldest group of Scouts and Explorers made their way from Tanglin trust school all the way to Sarimbun camp to start their Gold Award Expedition. They camped overnight at sarimbun after preparing all their kit and meals. Saturday saw a hike to Sungei Buloh to try to track down the newly arrived Rhinocerous Hornbill, a rare migrant to Singapore which they found near the exit to the park. In the afternoon, a quick trip back to camp to prepare for the arrivals for Bonfire Night!
5-7 Sept 2025 - Camp Loola: Indonesia
What a fantastic weekend! Late friday the scouts and explorers caught the ferry to Indonesia for Camp Loola. Scouts spent the morning helping to dig a safe water garden for a family to help provide clean water. They worked tirelessly in the sun painting the property while the family taught us how to cook delicious fritters. In the afternoon scouts went boom-netting. Sunday saw them climbing coconut trees, playing football and helping to plant mangrove trees before catching the evening ferry back to Singapore.
We are proud that 6 of our cubs have achieved their Scouts Silver Award. The top award for Cubs. Congratulations!! Well done to Ryan, William, Isabella, Jasmine, Jimmy and Oliver.
26/06/2025 - HMS Dauntless
Tonight 1st Scouts and Cubs were delighted to have the chance to tour HMS Dauntless, currently residing in Singapore. Our Cubs were even given their Silver Awards whilst seated in the captains chair! The event was surely something we will never forget. They were even kind enough to give us special badges and feed us nuggets, chips and sponge pudding. What a treat!
04/05/2025 - Battle Camp
This weekend saw a weekend long game of capture the flag. Scouts spent the evening camping over, enjoying pizza and preparing for the days ahead.
On saturday, our Scouts and Explorers took part in a scavenger hunt before some pioneering, building their bases for the nerf battles later in the afternoon. Teams prepared by tie dying bandanas, painting their faces, and coming up with strategies before the nerf capture the flag.
In the afternoon cubs and beavers from 1st and 2nd Singapore joined where scouts led the activities for the younger groups. An evening hotdogs and campfire to finish of the tired scouts before the evening camping at Sarimbun.
Sunday morning saw an early start to visit the intertidal zone to learn more about Singapores wildlife around the coast. Lots of tired
